Dr. Michael McLennon

ORAL & MAXILLOFACIAL SURGEON

Dr. Michael McLennon was born Queens, NY but moved to the suburbs of Raleigh in his early childhood. He attended Duke University for his undergraduate training. After earning his BS in Biological Anthropology and Anatomy with Chemistry and Biology minors, he worked as a Research Assistant at Duke University in Molecular Genetics.  Following graduation, he stayed in his home state and attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill – Adams School of Dentistry. Upon graduation, he received the Lupton Student Award for Clinical Achievement in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery.

After earning his DDS degree, he started a 6 year Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery residency at UF Health in Gainsville, FL.  During his time at UF Health, he also completed medical school earning his MD.  His experience at UF Health allowed him to train and work alongside professionals in both the Medical and Dental Fields.

Outside of Oral Surgery, Dr. McLennon enjoys running, cycling, snowboarding, kayaking, and weight training.  Dr. McLennon is married to Dr. Annie McLennon, his dental school classmate and sweetheart.  They are looking forward to making the move back “home” to North Carolina with their son, Teddy.
