At the Oral Surgery Institute of the Carolinas, we prioritize your convenience and aim to streamline the insurance claims process for you. We’re pleased to participate with several insurance carriers, working closely with both you and your insurance company to ensure timely and accurate claim processing.
Many Oral Surgery procedures are covered by medical or dental insurance; however, it depends on the procedure and your particular plan limitations. We recommend you contact your insurance company to determine any available coverage information. Our staff is happy to assist you with any other insurance questions you may have.
We accept most dental insurances, but are currently only in network with the following insurances: Ameritas, BCBSNC, Delta Dental, and Guardian.
( We are also in-network with Aetna, MetLife, Principal, Physicians Mutual, and Standard. However, to be eligible, your card must display the Ameritas logo. )
For patients with insurance coverage, we take the initiative to obtain an estimate of your benefits prior to scheduled procedures. However, please keep in mind that this estimate serves as a guideline and is not a guarantee of benefits, coverage, or payment. On the day of service, we collect the estimated patient portion, which may encompass co-pays/co-insurance, non-covered services, and deductibles.
